Fire Art Installations are big, bright, bold, and impressive. They create a sense of awe, wonder, and excitement.
We specilise in "no mess" fire art, which produces zero debris when it burns (no ash or embers), and doesn't damage the surface of the burn site.
This means our burning artworks can be installed on beaches, lawns, pavers...anywhere...and they won't burn or mark the surface.
We design the artwork with you, manufacture it here in Perth, transport it to the event site, install, and burn it. We do it all!
We can also create a fire performance to compliment the artwork, which includes a thearical ignition in its culmination.
Also, all the artworks are reusable!
This means we build it once, and can burn it multiple times over the course of the same event, or over several years of an annual event.

"Shinju Matsuri" Pearl Festival
Broome, Western Australia
This artwork was commissioned for the Floating Lantern Festival, held as part of Shinju Matsuri, the annual Pearl Festival in Broome, Western Australia.
The artwork says "Shinju Matsuri", Pearl Festival, in Japanese Kanji. The letters are 3m tall and the burn time from ignition to completion is 30 minutes.
The design was developed from a hand written note, converted into a technical drawing for approval, manufactured by hand in Perth, then transported, installed and burnt in Broome.
This project took 3 months from inital concept discussions to delivery.
"The Feast"
Strange Festival, Forrest Place, Perth CBD
"The Feast" art installation was created for the inaugural year of Strange Festival, with support and funding from Forrest Chase and City of Perth.
The artwork took direct inspiration from a small, clay spider, created by one of the festival founders. The spider was the central figure around which the installation and performance were created.
To give the spider purpose and character, and create a burn narrative, we wrote and recorded a mythological solstice story, and developed a fire performance which culminated in the ignition of the artwork.
The overall process, from concept, through design, development, and performance, took approximately 6 months.
"Kaal Koort-ak" (Fire in the Heart)
10 Nights in Port Festival, City of Fremantle
"Kaal Koort-ak" means "fire in the heart" in Noongar, the language of the Aboriginal people of the south-west corner of Western Australia. The installation was developed in conjunction with City of Fremantle, and their Noongar cultural advisers.
The event included aboriginal dance performances featuring fire, as well as interactive fire elements like fire eaters and burn barrels. The evening cluminated in a fire procession and ceremonial ignition of the installation.
To compliment the installation and performances, we also designed and made costumes incorporating the sun and seasonal golden wattle.
This project had a very tight turn around of 6 weeks from inception to completion.
"Blazing Swan" Logo
Blazing Swan Org., Perth
Blazing Swan is both a not-for-profit organisation and a regional Burning Man event, held in Kulin, Western Australia. Blazing Swan has as its logo a swan, with wings shaped like fire. The orginsation wanted a fire art scuplture that could be repeatedly burnt at its various events.
We replicated the swan design of the logo, installed it at their community fundraiser event, and coordinated a community fire performance, before the ignition and burning of the artwork.
The artwork is now owned and stored by the organisation, ready for use at future events.
As this artwork is relatively small, it was able to be created in 4 weeks.
"Andon"(Japanese Lantern)
Shinju Matsuri, Pearl Festival, Broome
After the success of the "Shinju Matsuri" installation in Broome the previous year, the festival commissioned the creation of another artwork, the following year, for the Floating Lantern Festival. This new artwork was a giant 3m tall lantern, with the words Hope, Love, Peace, and Happiness, written in Japanese Kanji on the four sides.
We undertook the design, manufacture, and installation of the artwork, including making the aluminium structure and giant canvases for the sides. This project was a huge undertaking, and was so well received by the festival, it remains a part of the festival decor to this day. Each year it's a feature art piece at the Shinju Matsuri festival hub.
This project took 8 weeks to complete, including 2 weeks in Broome.
"Cracked" Raku Ceramics Exhibition
Fremantle Arts Centre
10 Nights in Port Festival, City of Fremantle
We created 3 large sculptural pots depicting Raku pottery for the 10 Nights in Port event "Cracked", at Fremantle Arts Centre. The event featured an art exhibition of Raku pottery, along with an evening of live pottery firing and finishing.
The art installation was set alight, one piece at the time, with accompanying fire performances from our team, throughout the evening. The artworks and performances were a compliment to the feature exhibition and live demonstrations, adding an extra visual element to the event for guests to enjoy.
This project took 6 weeks to complete.
